Fried Camembert with Honey

A whole wheel of Camembert, breaded and fried until the outside is golden and crackly while the inside turns molten and gooey, then finished with a drizzle of honey — simple, indulgent, and always a hit.

Ingredients

  • 1 whole Camembert
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 4 tbsp flour
  • 4 tbsp breadcrumbs
  • Oil, for shallow frying
  • 2 tbsp honey

Instructions

  1. Coat the Camembert in flour, then beaten egg, then breadcrumbs, pressing to help the crumbs stick.
  2. Chill for 15 minutes to help the coating set.
  3. Heat oil in a pan and fry the Camembert for about 1 minute per side, until golden and just beginning to soften.
  4. Transfer to a plate and drizzle with honey.

Serve immediately with crusty bread for dipping into the warm, runny cheese.
